Economics Dissertation Help UK — Real Experts, Real Guidance

The literature review is rarely the problem. It is the moment STATA returns an output table nobody taught you to read, or your supervisor writes “more critical analysis” against a regression you thought was finished.

At LSE, Warwick, Nottingham or Glasgow, on a BSc, MSc or PhD, this is where students ask us to write my economics dissertation — or just rescue the econometrics chapter. You work one-to-one with a UK economist who specifies the model, runs it in STATA, R or EViews, reports the diagnostics your examiner checks, and hands back the do-file. 100% human-written and AI-detection safe in 2026.

Most Economics Dissertations Fail on the Regression, Not the Reading

The literature review gets written. Then STATA returns an output table nobody has taught you to interpret, your Durbin–Watson looks wrong, and the supervisor comment says “more critical analysis” without saying where.

So we match you with an economist, not a general business writer — someone who runs panel data and time series for a living and knows which diagnostics your examiner will look for. Macro, micro, econometrics, development, labour or health economics: full dissertation, one chapter, or the analysis alone. Related: finance dissertation help and data analysis support.

Your Regression Runs. That Doesn’t Mean It Identifies Anything.

The obvious problem first: AI cannot run Stata, R or EViews, so any results table it produces contains coefficients, standard errors and significance stars that correspond to nothing. That is fabrication, and it needs fixing before anything else.

The less obvious one separates a pass from a distinction. Applied economics is about identification — whether your specification can recover the causal effect you claim, in a world full of omitted variables, reverse causality and selection. Every regression runs; almost none identify what their author thinks. AI produces the language of identification without the reasoning: endogeneity named, an instrument asserted rather than defended, robustness mentioned rather than performed. That is exactly where an economics examiner opens.

Where Identification Fails

Endogeneity named and then ignored

A paragraph acknowledging that endogeneity might be present, followed by an OLS specification and causal language in the discussion. Naming the problem is description; addressing it is analysis, and only the second earns marks.

Instruments with no exclusion restriction argument

An instrument is only valid if you can argue it affects the outcome solely through the endogenous regressor. AI asserts instruments. It does not defend them, and the defence is the entire contribution.

Causal language on correlational designs

“Leads to”, “causes”, “drives” attached to a specification that supports only association. One of the most reliable ways to lose marks in applied economics.

Specification that ignores data structure

Pooled OLS on panel data, no fixed effects where they are clearly needed, clustering ignored where observations are grouped.

Diagnostics and robustness absent

Heteroskedasticity, autocorrelation, multicollinearity, stationarity, specification tests, alternative specifications, sensitivity to sample definition. Expected as standard, routinely missing from AI-drafted chapters.

Data described in a way nobody could replicate

Real economics research names the dataset, version, years, sample restrictions and variable construction. “Data was obtained from official sources” is not a data section.

Economics and Econometrics Dissertation Help — Methodology, Regression or the Whole Thing

Every chapter has its own trap. Order all six or just the one you are stuck on — methodology and data analysis are the two students send us most, because they are the two that come back marked.

Topic Selection & Title

We turn a subject area into a testable relationship. “UK inflation” is a module; “the pass-through of energy price shocks to core CPI in the UK, 2019–2025” is a dissertation — there is a variable, a period and a dataset behind it.

Abstract Writing

Aim, data, method, result and implication in 250–300 words — with your coefficient in it. “The relationship was analysed” says nothing; “a 1% rise in the minimum wage reduced hours by 0.4%” says everything.

Literature Review

Built from current economics journals and working-paper series — IFS, NIESR, NBER, Bank of England Staff Working Papers — organised by argument and identification strategy rather than one study per paragraph.

Research Methodology

Your model specified and justified: OLS, fixed effects, difference-in-differences, IV or an ARDL time-series approach — with the identification assumption stated openly instead of hoped over.

Data Analysis & Findings

Estimation run in STATA, R or EViews with the diagnostics examiners check — stationarity, multicollinearity, heteroskedasticity, autocorrelation — and the do-file returned so the results are yours to defend.

Discussion & Conclusion

Coefficients interpreted in economic terms, not just statistical ones: what the magnitude means in policy, where it agrees with the literature, and what your identification honestly cannot rule out.

What an Economics Dissertation Needs That a General Writer Cannot Supply

Economics is not written like other social sciences. It is judged on identification, on whether your model is specified correctly, and on whether you interpreted a coefficient or just reported it. These are the things that decide the mark.

Your Model Chosen, Then Justified

OLS, fixed effects, difference-in-differences, instrumental variables or ARDL — matched to your question and your data structure, with the identification assumption written down rather than assumed away.

Diagnostics Reported, Not Skipped

Stationarity, multicollinearity, heteroskedasticity and autocorrelation tested and reported. A regression table with no diagnostics underneath is the fastest way to lose marks you already earned.

Data You Can Actually Obtain

ONS, Bank of England, HMRC, World Bank, OECD, IMF, Eurostat and the UK Data Service. No design that depends on a firm sharing its internal figures, and no dataset you would need a licence you do not have to access.

Do-Files and Output Included

STATA do-files, R scripts and EViews workfiles come with the chapter. When your examiner asks how you handled a structural break, you can open the file and show them.

Economic Meaning, Not Just Significance

A p value tells you something is unlikely to be chance. It does not tell you whether the effect matters. Every result is read for magnitude and policy relevance — which is exactly what “more critical analysis” usually means.

100% Human-Written, AI-Free

Every chapter written by hand by a UK-based economist and checked before delivery, with a Turnitin report including the AI indicator. Never reused, resold or published as a sample.

Written to Your Economics Department’s Marking Criteria

Economics departments diverge sharply on what they reward. Some expect a formal model and derivations; others mark almost entirely on empirical identification. Some require your do-file or R script as an appendix; some cap the word count at 8,000 and expect the regression tables inside it. Send your handbook and the dissertation is written to yours.

Three Drafts, Same Supervisor Comment — Economics Dissertation Reviews From UK Students

Collected after delivery from undergraduate, MSc and PhD economics students, published with the course, the university and the exact part of the dissertation they ordered.

★★★★★

“My STATA Output Finally Meant Something”

I had the regression run and genuinely could not tell whether it was any good. They checked the specification, found I had ignored stationarity entirely, re-ran it properly and sent the do-file back with comments in it. My supervisor’s next email was two lines long.

“Gravity Model I Could Actually Defend”

Post-Brexit trade topic, and everything I read online was opinion. My writer built the gravity model on HMRC and Eurostat data, set up a proper counterfactual, and explained why my original claim was not evidenced. Ended with a distinction.

“Labour Economics Data I Did Not Know Existed”

I wanted to look at the minimum wage and had no idea I could get LFS microdata through the UK Data Service. They set up the access route, ran the decomposition and wrote the findings so the controls were justified rather than assumed.

Send us your draft with your output and code. We’ll assess your identification strategy, test whether your causal language is licensed, and check your robustness is adequate.

Economics Dissertation Help UK — Frequently Asked Questions

Data sources, model choice, diagnostics, STATA and R support, pricing and turnaround — the questions UK economics students actually ask before ordering in 2026.

My results table came from AI. What should I do first?

Replace it with output from an estimation you actually ran, before you do anything else. Fabricated regression results are treated as research fabrication, and in economics they are unusually easy to expose — a supervisor asking to see your do-file finds out in minutes. If you have the data but have not run the analysis, that is the immediate priority.

My draft mentions endogeneity but doesn’t really deal with it. Is that enough?

No, and this is the clearest line between a pass and a merit or distinction in applied economics. Naming endogeneity is description. Explaining its specific source in your setting, what it does to your estimates, and how your strategy addresses it is analysis. Examiners open here because it is where the real intellectual work sits.

How do I know if my instrument is valid?

You have to argue the exclusion restriction: that your instrument affects the outcome only through the endogenous variable, with a substantive reason, not a statistical one. If you cannot make that argument in a paragraph a sceptical reader would accept, the instrument is not defensible. AI asserts instruments constantly without ever attempting this.

My design is correlational but my discussion uses causal language. Does that matter?

Yes, and it is heavily penalised. Words like leads to, drives and causes make claims your specification cannot support. This mismatch is extremely common in AI-assisted drafts because the empirical chapter and the discussion were generated separately. We check every causal claim against what your design actually licenses.

Can you check my econometric specification?

Yes. We assess whether your model suits your question and data structure, whether your identification strategy is defensible, whether your instruments hold up, and whether your diagnostics and robustness checks meet UK Masters expectations.

What robustness checks do I need?

It depends on your estimator, but at minimum the appropriate diagnostic tests, at least one alternative specification, and sensitivity to how you defined your sample or key variables. We tell you what your specific design requires.

How should I describe my data?

So that someone else could reproduce your sample. Name the dataset, version and years, state your sample restrictions and why, explain how each variable was constructed, say how you handled missing data, and report summary statistics. Vague data description is a replicability failure examiners take seriously.

My theory chapter and empirical chapter don’t connect. How do I fix it?

Your specification should be derived from, or clearly motivated by, your theoretical framework, with the testable implication stated explicitly. AI writes the two chapters independently so the bridge is simply missing. We show you where it needs to be built.

Which econometric software do you work with?
STATA, R, EViews, SPSS, Excel and Python. Tell us which your department teaches and the output comes back in that format — there is no point receiving R output when your viva will be conducted around a STATA log.
Where do I get data for an economics dissertation?
Open sources cover almost everything a student project needs: ONS, Bank of England, HMRC, DESNZ, the UK Data Service for microdata such as the Labour Force Survey, plus World Bank, OECD, IMF and Eurostat for cross-country work. You almost never need proprietary access.
What makes a good economics dissertation topic in 2026?
A measurable relationship with an open dataset behind it. Inflation pass-through since the energy shock, post-Brexit trade flows and non-tariff barriers, minimum wage effects on hours, carbon pricing, AI adoption and productivity, cryptocurrency volatility. Send your working title and we will confirm free whether the data supports it.
Can I get just one chapter written?
Yes. Chapter-level orders are normal, and methodology and data analysis are the two most requested. Your writer reads your existing draft and handbook first, so the chapter fits what you have already written rather than reading as a different voice.
Can you edit or fix a dissertation I have already written?
Yes. Send it and you will get an honest read — sometimes the writing is fine and the problem is the specification, which is a different fix. If it is only language and structure, that is editing.
How long does a full economics dissertation take?
Usually two to three weeks including the analysis and a revision round. Single chapters take three to five days, and urgent turnarounds are possible — tell us your word count and deadline and you will get an honest answer before paying.
How much does an economics dissertation cost?
From £17.95 per page at undergraduate level on a 15+ day deadline up to £36.95 for PhD work in 24 hours — the full table is above. Proposal-only and editing-only orders are priced separately, and you get a fixed quote before anything starts.
I am an international student — can you still help?
Yes. A large share of our economics work is for students from India, China, Nigeria and the Middle East on UK programmes. UK marking criteria and referencing conventions are what we write to, so where you are based makes no difference.
